First day of wearing shorts for 2010!  Mid-fifties and nothing but a clear blue sky as I went out for a mid-afternoon run down to the Matheson Court House and back.  This workout largely involved running the Salt Lake Marathon course  from 4500 South and 700 East, down 500 East to Liberty Park, then up State Street to the  Matheson Court House and back (i.e., approximately miles 17.8-25.0).  The total distance of this run was 16.3 miles at an easy pace.

While watching my CFA video classes, I completed my daily non-running workout of 300 sit-ups and 30 push-ups.

Woot for shorts weather! Anything exciting coming up in the near future for you?

I've been wearing shorts all year. Pretty soon I'll be able to post - First day of running in the buff for the year.

Benn, the only exciting thing I have coming up is a tower race at the end of the month; that is, a race up to the top of the tallest building in Salt Lake which is 24-stories high. Since you can run to the top more than once as long as you notify the race director before hand, I'm thinking about how many times I should run to the top. I have never run more than a few flights of stairs; therefore, I have no idea. People have told me it gets pretty difficult after 15 flights, so maybe I can only make it to the top once.

Also, good luck with the job hunt! It took me quite a few months to find a job after grad school and it was a much better market than it is today, so keep at it.

Burt, LOL and thanks for the warning!!!

nice run... you know we do have mountains, right?

Thanks and I absolutely need to hit MC Canyon, especially since it looks like I might be handing off to you on our third leg of the WB. If I end up being Runner#9; we'll have to beat the combined 1:19:54 time of last year for legs 33 and 34 (i.e., only 7.6 miles, but 3094 feet net elevation gain). Consequently, some major hill training is probably in my future.
